Roe Murray graduated from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, Pa., with a degree in Art Education, pursued graduate courses at Tyler School of Art and Arcadia University. Roe has continued her artistic studies with some of the regions most prominent artists. Roe expresses herself with oil paints, but also uses pastels, watercolors, and other mediums.. Her favorite subject matter is landscapes and still life’s and she especially enjoys painting these subjects from life. Her style is a blend of impressionism and contemporary realism. She captures the tranquility of life’s beauty at a fleeting moment of time.
Her art affiliations are The Howard Pyle Studio Group, Wilmington, DE., The Delaware Valley Art League , in PA., and the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters. She has taught Art in Pennsylvania public and private schools , The Wayne Art Center, in Wayne, PA.,and The Main Line Art Center.
Currently Roe teaches at The Delaware Art Museum, Chester County Art Association, and privately in her home. She has exhibited, and continues to exhibit in shows and galleries.
