Randall Graham Bio:
Randall is ambitious when it comes to his approach to painting. He has studied a classical approach to painting under Neilson Carlin through the Studio Rilievo. American icon Bo Bartlett has also taught Randall and influenced his style.
Randall’s “en rain air” paintings are mesmerizing. To create these unique paintings he sits in his van while it is raining. Raindrops lay on the windshield and abstract the scene which allows him to create a mix of abstraction and realism. His attention to detail creates a beautiful perception of the world.
When it is not raining Randall paints many landscapes and cityscapes outdoors. He teaches plein air painting classes at Oxford Art Alliance and Franklin Commons Gallery in Phoenixville.
The past two years he has won consecutive awards at Plein Air Brandywine Valley. Recently Randall has been commissioned to paint murals at The Malvern Township Building to celebrate Malvern’s 125th Anniversary. Among many local art shows his work has been exhibited at Winterthur Museum, The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Museum, The Edgar Allen Poe Museum, The Art Trust Gallery & Chester County Art Association.
Along with many private collectors his art is included in the public collections of The Township of Malvern, Rumsey Electric, The Horsham Clinic and Foundation Behavior Health Hospital.
“My goal with art is to find the feeling that connects us all in a scene. What connects us to nature? What connects us to each other? That is what I’m continually searching and striving for when I work on paintings, Plein Air studies, and murals.”
