Born in Pasadena, CA in 1961, Michele spent her childhood years living in Geneva, Switzerland. She returned to the USA in 1972, with her parents and 4 siblings. They settled in Wilmington, DE. Michele now lives with her husband, Scott and their three children in Greenville, DE.
Foster is a 1983 graduate of the University of Delaware with a BA in Art and English Journalism. Michele started her career as a corporate graphic artist for the DuPont Co. She was also a contributing writer for local papers. While working, she started her own freelance graphic art business to supplement her full-time career. After her first child was born in 1998, Foster left her design career to raise her first child.
Michele began taking art and critique classes in Delaware and Pennsylvania and she has been juried into three distinctive Delaware art organizations, as an exhibiting professional artist. They include The Howard Pyle Studio Group, Inc., The Delaware Foundation for the Visual Arts (DFVA) and the National League of Pen Women, Diamond State Chapter. She is currently the Graphic Designer for The Howard Pyle Studio Group, Inc. in Wilmington, DE. She is also a member of the Delaware Art Museum Council and enjoys experimenting with different mediums including oil, oil sticks, acrylic and mixed media.
Foster is the current Gallery Manager/Graphic Designer for Hardcastle Gallery in Centreville, DE.
