After receiving a BS in Art Education from Pennsylvania State University, Lisa Ford began her art teaching career at Tredyffrin/Easttown School District. During this time she received her MA at University of the Arts in Art Education and an MA in Theatre at Villanova. She also began teaching drawing and painting in her home studio, studied painting extensively at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, acting at The Walnut Street Theatre School, ballet, argentine tango and flamenco. After retiring from her public school teaching position Lisa is now pursuing her painting career and enjoying dance and theater. She has since taught oil painting for adults at the Phoenixvillage Art Center and acted as consultant and teaching artist for the Crossing Boundaries Program at the Barnes Foundation. Lisa’s interdisciplinary approach is evident in her teaching, art and life. She performs and exhibits her works in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
