Beth Palser, award winning watercolor artist from the Chester County, Pennsylvania is the creator of a unique style of watercolors that brings together realism with hard-edged brush strokes called, “Graphic Realism”. She has received more than 40 awards for her watercolors, including awards from prestigious national juried competitions such as The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, The Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and the Baltimore Watercolor Society. Palser graduated in 1984 from the Art Institute of Philadelphia with a Degree in Advertising and Graphic Design and later apprenticed for a renowned silkscreen printmaker for several years. Fusing this background with painting, Palser developed her new style of watercolors. She often works for weeks on a painting to achieve the quality and detail which has become the signature of her work. Texture, contrast, dimension and vibrant color are other elements Palser is known for in her paintings. During her 26 year career as a painter, Palser has exhibited in 10 One-Woman Shows, 10 Two Person Shows, over 100 Group and invitational Shows and more than 350 local and regional juried shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic States. Her art is included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad including McGraw Hill Publishing, Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Astra Zeneca, Drexel University and Southco. Palser has also achieved Signature Member status in the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman, Pennsylvania and Baltimore Watercolor Societies and listed in Who’s Who in America & American Women.
